Hi! I am a first-year PhD student and NSF Graduate Research Fellow at the Yale School of the Environment (YSE), co-advised by Dr. Oswald Schmitz and Dr. Mark Bradford. I graduated with my Master's from YSE in 2023 (advisor: Dr. Schmitz), and am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue here for my PhD!
My interests lie at the intersection of biogeochemistry, ecosystem ecology, social-ecological systems, conservation biology, and the development of nature-based climate solutions. The interdisciplinary nature of my research is a result of my training in systems thinking and range of research experiences, as well as more specifically my interests in the role of animals in ecosystem carbon cycling (AKA zoogeochemistry of the carbon cycle). My PhD work expands on my previous research, with more intricate questions, exciting methods, and new sites and ecological contexts...
